July 5, 2023– In a proactive move to address power quality concerns, representatives from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), Engr. Patrick Jason C. Pineda and Engr. James Melvin M. Mea together with CENECO, paid a courtesy call to City Legal Officer Romeo Carlos Ting, Jr. and City Administrator Atty. Pacifico Maghari, III.

The ERC personnel were authorized to conduct an onsite investigation on Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENECO) from July 4 to 6, in relation to the complaint filed by Riverside Medical Center, Inc. and the Office of the Mayor of Bacolod, both expressing concerns regarding power quality issues.

The visit demonstrates the commitment of both the ERC and the local government in promptly and effectively addressing current problems. By conducting the onsite investigation, they aim to ensure the delivery of reliable electricity to residents and businesses, fostering a conducive environment for economic growth and development.
