The Bacolod City Government through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) will formalize an agreement with the Jollibee Foods Corporation for an Internship Program for students of Bacolod City College (BCC).
In a courtesy visit to Bacolod Mayor Albee Benitez today, officials of one of the biggest fast-food chains in the country, assured Mayor Albee that they will open more job opportunity to the graduates of BCC as the economy of the city is slowly going back to normal after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The company had already an existing tie-up agreement with PESO Bacolod for their job hiring activities.
Meanwhile, Mayor Albee is suggesting if the company can tap local producers and farmers for the supply of their raw ingredients instead of buying them from other provinces.
He said buying local produce will help boost the province and the city’s economy.
Jollibee Foods also donated 15 traffic signage to the city
