π˜”π˜’π˜³π˜€π˜© 20, 2024–The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) visited the city as part of their Bacolod-Iloilo Mission 2024, aiming to foster opportunities for the local government and the organization to invigorate business industries and economic growth for both parties.

Councilor Celia Flor warmly welcomed the guests and expressed hopes for a fruitful exchange between the city and the ECCP. ECCP Director Florian Gottein expressed gratitude for the warm reception from the Bacolod LGU and introduced the delegation members, including representatives from European embassies.

Dr. Mae Llamas, Head of Bacolod City Investment Office, highlighted Mayor Albee Benitez’s proactive leadership, envisioning a bigger, better, and bolder Bacolod. She showcased the city’s key investment areas, from vibrant festivals to innovative programs and services.

The collaboration between Bacolod City and the ECCP promises to bring forth innovative ideas and solutions to fulfill the aspirations of every Bacolodnon.

Dr. Diana Edralin, ECCP Director and Roche General Manager, commended the city’s clear agenda on advancing healthcare, expressing readiness for dialogue with MABB to enhance health opportunities, particularly among women.

Also in attendance were Councilors Thaddy Sayson, Al Espino, Kalaw Puentevella and Jason Villarosa.

Bacolod’s selection as one of ECCP’s destinations highlights its reputation as one of the most business-friendly LGUs outside the National Capital Region (NCR).
