October 29, 2024- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in partnership with the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD), along with Councilor Pao Sy and the City Agriculture Office recently distributed food packs to fisherfolk in Bacolod City who were affected by the recent typhoon.

The relief reached 38 beneficiaries in Barangay 16, 340 in Barangay Tangub, 85 in Barangay Sum-ag, 301 in Barangay Punta Taytay, and 803 in Barangay Singcang Airport, providing essential aid to these communities as they recover from the storm’s effects. Councilor Vladimir Gonzalez joined the distribution in Barangay Tangub, while Councilor Kalaw Puentevella was present in Barangay Singcang Airport.

This coordinated effort highlights the commitment to assist Bacolod’s fisherfolk and help them recover from the recent calamity.
