The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bacolod held a citywide orientation to members of the Highly Urbanized City – Performance Assessment Team (HUC-PAT) for the 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB), at the Liga ng mga Barangay Function Hall, today.

Program Manager May Theresa Malongayon said the orientation aims for the assessment team to meet, plan out and strategize how to conduct the assessment process to 61 barangays of the city.

DILG Bacolod has presented the indicators, criteria and core governance areas to be assessed and evaluated.

With the help of the city government, the agency is aiming to assess all barangays for their compliance to mandated programs required by law.

In a pilot testing conducted last year, Brgy. Pahanocoy has passed the assessment of the agency, DILG City Director Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag said.

HUC-PAT will be headed by a City Administrator or any department heads that will be designated by the Mayor. City Planning and Development Officer/Coordinator will be assigned as an assistant team leader.*jell.lanes
