The City Veterinary Office, together with the BACH Project PH, organized an emergency relief operations last December 21 for animals, particularly dogs and cats affected by the Kanlaon Volcano eruption in Brgy. Cabagna-an, La Castellana.

Various necessities were provided for both owned and stray dogs and cats in the area, including dog food, rice, vitamins, supplements, and soap. The City Vet also offered a free rabies vaccination that catered to a number of 90 animals.

This is the first-ever initiative by the City Vet to be done outside Bacolod to lend assistance to affected areas. In addition, the mentioned LGU department plans to reach out to other affected LGUs such as La Carlota and Bago.
