Bacolod City Schools Division opened its Division Athletic Association Meet 2023 this morning, March 16, at the Bacolod City National High School Grounds.

Athletes from different sports disciplines belonging in 7 Districts (Elementary) and 4 Units (Junior High) came together at the opening ceremony of this year’s Bacolod City Division Meet.

The Ceremony kicked off with an Athletic Parade at 8 am, the lighting of the torch was by the Bacolod City Softball Team (5th Place World Series Championship in Lower Sussex, Delaware,USA), performances from all supervisors and principals and a Mass Dance by the BCNHS Class.

As a SEA Games Silver Medalist in water skiing in 1984, Mayor Albee Benitez, challenged all the athletes to do their best so he can see them all in the Palarong Pambansa. The City is behind you all the way, he added.

Councilors Thaddy Sayson, Simple Distrito, Jason Villarosa and Celia Flor also graced the opening ceremony.
