February 19, 2024 – As part of their initiative with regards to colorum tricycle apprehension, the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) readily conducted a refresher course to a number of 28 volunteers with the goal of imparting knowledge considered as essential to the appropriate and correct conduct and basis of colorum apprehension around Bacolod today at 15th Lacson St., Bazket Compound.
Two key educators who shared various key pertinent information were BTAO Traffic Aid I Jeffrey G. Pequiz and BTAO staff Abelardo Cordova.
The course covered topics such as city ordinances and the Republic Act 4136 which served as basis for the apprehension of colorum tricycles as to enlighten the volunteers on what can be considered as legal and illegal once they are deployed for duty. All volunteers present during the refresher course are deeed qualified and their task will run for the whole year.
Additionally, the whole day training will run from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM and it was made clear during the discussion that the duty of the volunteers of the task force kontra colorum is only limited to the apprehension of colorum tricycles.
Finally, the task force kontra colorum personnel is set to be officially deployed today, February 20, to start apprehending illegal tricycle all over Bacolod City.
