January 24, 2025 – The Bacolod City Government, in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), is preparing Brgy. Banago to serve as a model for fire prevention readiness in time for Fire Prevention Month.
The city has also identified 9 red zones in Brgy. Granada and 2,238 households prone to fire hazards. Additionally, there are 284 red zones across all barangays in Bacolod City. To enhance fire preparedness, the city aims to reactivate and maintain 179 fire hydrants, ensuring they are fully operational to help combat fires effectively.
