Mayor Albee Benitez sat down with the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) to identify Red Zones in the city at the Mayor’s Office, February 13.

FCInsp. Stephen G. Jardeleza, City Fire Marshall declared 119 areas in the city as Red Zones. These are places that are hard to access in case of fire.

Mayor Benitez wants to intensify emergency response in the Red Zones as cases of fire have increased within the past few months. He also urged the Bureau to continue coordinating with the city for the mapping of these areas.

Moreover, the Bureau proudly shared in the meeting their notable accomplishments. The increased participation in barangay-based activities, launching of their Snorkel Magazine, and the on-going Fire Square Roadshow, are just some of the highlights.
