March 30, 2023 – In observance of the Fire Prevention Month 2023, the Bacolod City Fire Station marked the culmination of the month-long activities conducted, with this year’s theme “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-iisa”.

Graced by Council Psyche Marie Sy—Committee on Fire, Defense, and Natural Disasters—the fire prevention month observance is one way to remind the public of the importance of fire safety.

During the culmination the BFP recognized the participating partners from the Media, Government Agencies, Non-government Agencies, Rescue Groups, Volunteer Fire Brigades and BFP-City Fire Auxiliary Group members for their support.

Last Monday, March 27, 2023 a turn-over command ceremony was conducted at the Bureau of Fire Protection Regional Office, whereas C/Insp. Stephen Jardeleza is designated as the new City Fire Marshall, while former C/Insp Rodel Legaspi is now assigned as the new Acting Provincial Fire Marshall of Negros Occidental.
