The City Government of Bacolod exhibited its best practices to DILG-Local Government Academy, DILG Regional Office VI, and delegates coming from LGUs of region 6, Wednesday, April 19, at the BCGC lobby.
The city showcased its integrated developments such as the BacCHP, Yuhum Housing program, E-BIS (Electronic business Integrated system), to name a few, as Bacolod moves forward to becoming a super city by 2025.
Bacolod also emphasized the trade improvement through PalengQR Ph highlighting the city as the first LGU in the region to adapt cashless transactions in its local markets.
Councilor Celia Flor and City Planning and Development Officer Mary Jean Ramos graced the event along with Market Supervisor Ritchell Villanueva, MITCS-OIC Ramon de los Reyes, and Dr. Mae Llamas, Consultant on economic and development, who presided the city’s presentation.
Local Economic Development Consultant Dr. Aser Javier; Pavia, Iloilo Mayor Laurence Gorriceta; Kalibo, Aklan Vice Mayor Dr. Cynthia Dela Cruz; Escalante City Vice Mayor Rogelio Prietos; Talisay City Councilor Stephen Siote; Badiangan, Iloilo LIGA President Myra Lamzon, and SB Members from Igbaras, Kalibo, Pavia, San Joaquin of Iloilo and Hinobaan were also present.
