November 12, 2024 – The Bacolod City government, in partnership with TESDA and Ubiquity, is launching a new training initiative under the @SENSO Life Skills Academy to help residents gain skills for the BPO industry. The 10-day pilot program, called “A Training Program for Near Hires,” will train 25 selected scholars on essential industry skills.
Program Process:
1. Selection & Assessment – Ubiquity identifies candidates.
2. Endorsement – TESDA and LGU confirm selected scholars.
3. Training – TESDA, with LGU support, provides training.
4. Final Review – Ubiquity re-evaluates for potential hiring.
Bacolod City acts as the program hub, TESDA manages training delivery, and Ubiquity offers industry insights and hiring opportunities. This collaboration aims to foster local employment through targeted skills training and a direct pathway to BPO jobs.
