Just In. Bacolod City is named by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry as one of the Top 5 finalists in the Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit Awards (City Level 1B). City Administrator Dr. Lucille Gelvolea received recognition on behalf of the city.
The cities in the top five, listed alphabetically, are:
– Bacolod City
– Cagayan de Oro City
– Iloilo City
– Mandaue City
Among 17 highly urbanized cities (HUCs) outside NCR, 11 participated in the PCCIโs Search for the Most Business-Friendly LGU.
The recognition was awarded today, September 23, 2024, at the PCCI Office in Taguig City. According to Dr. Gelvolea, the winner among the top five will be announced by mid-October.
Joining her at the event were City Treasurer Arlene Memoria, Department of Local Development and Investment Promotion (DLEDIP) Head Dr. Mae Llamas, and Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) Head Stella Rayos.
