City Administrator Atty. Pacifico Maghari together with Police City Director Police Col. Noel Aliño discussed the continuous cases of cable wire theft in the city with the city’s telco providers and junk shop owners, today May 18, 2023 at the Bacolod City Government Center SP Session Hall.
During the meeting the telco providers expressed their concern on the rampant cutting and stealing of their cable wires and how it is affecting their clients’ internet connectivity.
Moreover, Atty. Maghari encouraged all junk shop owners to report any suspicious actions of junk sellers most especially those who are selling cable wires. Through the cooperation of all junk shop owners the city will be able to identify the perpetrators.
Additionally, Police Col. Aliño warned the junk shop owners that the Bacolod City Police is on top of these cases and will never tolerate shops that are accepting these stolen cable wires. They are currently investigating all cable theft reports in the city and will make sure to penalize not only the thief but also junk shops involved.
