November 11, 2024- With the support of Mayor Albee Benitez, the Department of Social Services and Development’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (DSSD-SLP) Local Fund, conducted a financial payout event for 483 beneficiaries at the Bacolod City Government Center.

Each beneficiaries from the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) sector received ₱10,000 to support their sustainable livelihood projects.

Bacolod City has a registered PWD population of 13,000, with identification cards now encoded with QR codes for better accessibility. DSSD Head Ms. Alma Gustilo emphasized that if the funded livelihoods prove successful and sustainable, the program could recommend further support through additional capital.

The event was attended by Councilors Thaddy Sayson, Jason Villarosa, Em Ang, Celia Flor, Vladimir Gonzalez and DSSD Head Ms. Alma Gustilo.
