October 4, 2024- The Bacolod City Government Employees Sportsfest 2024 officially kicked off with an exciting opening ceremony. The event commenced with a vibrant athletes’ parade, followed by inspiring messages from Mayor Albee Benitez and Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran. The lighting of the ceremonial torch then marked the official start of the sportsfest.

Adding energy to the festivities, a MOB Dance presentation, announcement of game schedules and venues, presentation of muses and the much-anticipated Cheerdance Competition further highlighted the opening program.

The sportsfest will feature five key disciplines: Basketball, Volleyball, Bowling, Chess, and Billiards. These games will not only showcase competition but also help strengthen bonds among employees, making this year’s sportsfest a memorable event for Bacolod City.
