June 18, 2024– The city of Bacolod commemorates its 86th Charter Day Anniversary with a flag-raising ceremony held at the Bacolod City Government Center Grounds. The event, themed “Pagsaulog sang Pagbag-o para sa Masanyogon nga Asenso” was attended by city officials, employees, and residents, all coming together to honor the city’s history and forward-looking spirit.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome from Hon. Councilor Psyche Marie E. Sy. Followed by the welcome remarks of Hon. Lady Gles Pallen delivered an inspiring Charter Day message.
Mayor Albee Benitez then took the stage, reflecting on the city’s achievements and outlining future plans aimed at furthering development and prosperity.
The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Hon. Simplicia Distrito, who praised the collective efforts that have brought the city to its current stature.
The 86th Charter Day Anniversary celebration, with its emphasis on change and progress, serves as a reminder of Bacolod City’s enduring legacy and its bright future ahead.
