November 11, 2024 – The Bacolod City Water District (BACIWA) Board of Directors held a dialogue with Mayor Albee Benitez to formally discuss and present the Rainwater Catchment Facility Project today at the City Mayor’s Office, Bacolod City Government Center.

Attended by Councilors Vladimir Gonzalez and Al Espino, General Manager Mona Dia Jardin, Chairman Lorendo Dilag, Vice Chairman Lawrence Villanueva, Dir. Rebecca Filasol and Rich Ann Zayco, and Special Assistant to the Mayor Engr. Mae Cuaycong.

The Rainwater Catchment Facility Project is a project that aims to provide sustainable solutions for water scarcity, especially in severely-affected areas in Bacolod City. The project is targeted to begin during the 1st Quarter of 2025.

After a thorough process and evaluation, here are the following selected barangays that will serve as recipients of the project:

2. Brgy. Mansilingan
3. Brgy. Sum-Ag
4. Brgy. Banago
5. Brgy. Mandalagan
6. Brgy. Taculing
7. Brgy. Vista Alegre
8. Brgy. Handumanan
9. Brgy. Singcang-Airport
10. Brgy. Felisa
