Secretary Jose Rizalini Acuzar of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Benitez and real estate developer of the Asenso Yuhum Housing (AYH) William Scheirman, Jr. met last November 10, 2023 at the Arao Residences to review the progress of the work on the first-ever implementation of the national government’s “Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino” program.

Secretary Acuzar, Mayor Benitez and Scheirman, Jr. were elated with the progress of the real estate development work in Barangay Vista Alegre and have agreed to establish a wide open-space, a park with a large swimming pool, a clubhouse/multi-purpose hall, a basketball court, commercial spaces, and parking lots.

The December 20 awarding of the completed units will be held with the presence of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

The awardees, coming from the ranks of homeless families earning the equivalent of minimum monthly wage of Php10,000 and are qualified to take-out Pag-IBIG long-term housing loans, will benefit from the DHSUD subdsidy and will be paying reduced monthly amortizations of Php2,300 over a period of 30 years.

The 4PH/AYH residents will be buying a unit with an area of 24 square meters at a price of some Php1,020,000 or Php50,000 per square meters, for a 4-storey building.

The Arao Residences will be composed of some 20 mid-rise condominium buildings of 4 to 5 storeys.

The residents of Arao Residences will play a vital role in the real estate management of their human settlements to ensure the appreciation of their house investments.

They may also go to the Bacolod Housing Authority (BHA) office located at the South Front Side, Second Floor, Bacolod City Government Center.

Other officials present in the November 10 meeting were DHSUD Region 6 Director Eva Marfil, Councilors Thaddy Sayson and Vladi Gonzalez, Punong Barangay Lindy De Leon, Bacolod Housing Authority Head Ma. Victoria Parrenas, and Executive Assistant III Rodel Parcon.
