October 11, 2023 – The latest report on dengue cases in Bacolod by the City Health Office reveals a significant improvement in the fight against the disease. With a total of 414 cases and only three fatalities, there’s a notable 50% decrease compared to the figures reported in the previous year, where the city saw 834 cases and 127 deaths. During the period from September 9 to September 30, 2023, several barangays experienced clustering of cases, including Taculing, Mansilingan, and Granada.

The age range of those affected by dengue this year spans from as young as 3 months to 66 years, with a median age of 10 years old. Notably, the age group with the highest number of cases falls between 1 to 10 years old.
