The Federated Parent-Teacher Association (FPTA) of Division of Bacolod City through the support of Bacolod City Mayor Hon. Alfredo “Albee” B. Benitez conducts the ALBEE Happy Project at Abkasa National High School.

Attended by 300 plus Junior High Students from Grade 7 to 10, the program discussed campaigns on anti-drug, mental health awareness and values formation.

The innovation is a collaborative program of Mayor Albee Benitez, Department of Education Division of Bacolod City, and Federated Parent-Teacher Association, led by FPTA President Carry Palabrica author of the ALBEE Happy project.

ALBEE Happy is the acronym for Active Leadership to Boost Empowerment and Excellence and is similarly pronounce to the statement “I’ll Be Happy”, it was first launched last February 20, 2023 at Domingo Lacson National HIgh School participated by both Junior and Senior High Students.

The project will be presented every Monday after the flag ceremony depending on the school assigned to be the host, aside from the said day, any changes within the weekdays are considered upon the availability of the School.

Target beneficiaries of the ALBEE happy innovation are the High School Students of the entire 22 Public High Schools in the Division of Bacolod City and after it successfully implements the School it shall continue to 61 Barangays of Bacolod City.

Moreover, this project is the mainstream program and advocacy of Mayor Albee Benitez to empower young people especially the High School Students of Public High Schools in Bacolod City and to ensure that they are properly guided and motivated for their holistic development.
