September 29, 2022- Troops and resources for MassKara Festival are now set and ready after its send-off ceremony held at Bacolod City Police Headquarters.

A total of 1,165 personnels, along with their vehicles, firearms, and other control and security resources have been blessed for the upcoming MassKara Festival celebration.

Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPO), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), PNP K9, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Regional Mobile Force Battalion VI (RMF), and the Philippine Army were among the groups that were blessed.

The blessing was led by a life coach, a muslim representative, and a priest in an inclusive ceremony.

Guests of honor in the send-off were Brigadier General Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd Infantry Brigade (IBde) commander, and Atty. Pinky Mirano-Ocampo, MassKara festival director.

Present also in the said event were Bacolod Traffic Authority (BTAO) Chief Police Major Junji Liba, and City Director Police Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir.

After the blessing, Colonel Martir presented the 1,165 personnel to Atty. Ocampo, assuring her that peace and order for the whole duration of MassKara Festival will be strictly implemented.

Brigadier General Pasaporte and Atty. Ocampo also gave their words of encouragement for the troops as they will be deployed for almost a month, and asked them to observe the proper measure of peace and order for the safety of Bacolod.

All systems are in place and shall enable safety and security for the month-long festival starting this friday, 30 September.
