BACOLOD CITY – Miss Universe Bacolod 2025 Louise Lian Enumerable Bobe on Tuesday delivered an inspiring speech before the Bacolod City Council, pledging to showcase Bacolod’s vibrant culture and empowered women on the national stage at Miss Universe Philippines 2025.
Bobe, a proud wife, mother, and Negrense, was warmly received by the council, with Councilors Em Ang, Simplicia Distrito, and Celia Flor expressing admiration for her advocacy and praising her as a role model for Bacoleñas and women everywhere.
She also received pledges of support from Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran and Congressman Greg Gasataya. Bobe is scheduled to meet Mayor Alfredo “Albee” Benitez next week for a courtesy call to further discuss how Bacolod can rally behind her journey.
She emphasized the significance of her participation in this year’s Miss Universe Philippines pageant, which celebrates the strength, grace, and resilience of women from all walks of life, including married women and mothers like herself. “Motherhood isn’t a limitation—it’s a superpower! Ang pagka-iloy indi kabudlayan kundi isa ka kusog!” she declared, inspiring women to embrace their roles while fearlessly pursuing their dreams.
Her journey is backed by the newly established local franchise of Miss Universe Philippines for both Negros Occidental and Bacolod City, recently granted to local director Kashmere Granada. Granada expressed full confidence in Bobe’s capability to make Bacolod shine on the national stage. “Lian embodies the true spirit of a Bacoleña—strong, graceful, and compassionate. She is more than ready to show the world what Bacolod has to offer,” Granada said.
In her speech, the title holder highlighted her commitment to bringing Bacolod’s vibrant culture and values to the forefront.
“This journey is not just mine—it’s for Bacolod. It’s for every woman who dreams of breaking barriers and every Negrense who wants to see our city shine.”
The City Council responded with enthusiasm, recognizing her potential to bring honor to Bacolod.
With rigorous training and growing support, Bobe is determined to bring home Bacolod’s first Miss Universe Philippines crown and make the City of Smiles shine brighter than ever.
