December 23, 2024 – The City of Bacolod, through its Sangguniang Panlungsod, names its new Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) Head, Richelle H. Verdeprado, during today’s SP session.

Ms. Verdeprado was appointed by Mayor Albee Benitez. She graduated in the year 2011 and attained the top 2 spot in the Social Workers Licensure Examination. She previously worked for the Provincial Development Office as Social Welfare Officer and also worked for 9 nine years as Program Head in the Social Work Program of UNO-R and was also a graduate of Law.

Alma Gustilo, the previous DSSD Head will retain her original designation as the PDAO Officer, the head for the programs of the Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
