December 10, 2024 – The City Government of Bacolod, through its City Tourism Development Office, brightens up the Christmas spirit through its lights on ceremony held tonight at the Bacolod City Public Plaza.

Present during the ceremony were Mayor Albee Benitez, Councilors Thaddy Sayson, Jason Villarosa, and Pao Sy, City Engineer’s Office Head Engr. Loben Ceballos, BENRO Head Ma. Fe Trespuentes, and City Tourism Head Tere Manalili, and Special Assistant to the Mayor Engr. Mae Cuaycong.

With the theme, “Paskwa sa Plaza”, the event featured the Adopt a Tree Program of the city wherein the trees located in the Public Plaza will be illuminated, making it a space for families and the public to enjoy. Additionally, various schools also displayed their performances through singing and dancing and Christmas crafts and art shown by cooperatives.
