November 5, 2024 – The City of Bacolod accommodated officials coming from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) – Region II for their benchmarking activity today in the city.

The activity was attended by DHSUD-II OIC-Regional Director Grace A. De Vera, Division Chiefs Perlita Calubaquib, Cheryl Tolentino, and Cheryll Moreno, along with two individuals from DHSUD-VI Francis Von Layes and Joash Jamelo, Scheirman Construction representatives Elaisa De La Rosa, and were met by Congressman Greg Gasataya and the Executive Assistant from the City Mayor’s Office Rodel Parcon, together with representatives coming from the Bacolod Housing Authority (BHA).

Bacolod, being recognized as one of the first cities with near completion of the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program of the national government, was chosen by DHSUD-II as a location of their benchmarking activity for cross-learning purposes.

Additionally, this visit will allow the guests to gain valuable insights from the ongoing implementation of the 4PH program in the city through discussions regarding housing strategies, policies, and 4PH implementation progress and to establish a collaboration with the local government unit.

Lastly, the guests concluded their activity with the conduct of an onsite inspection of both ongoing and completed 4PH housing projects at Arao.
