August 17, 2024—Bacolod City welcomed the Roxas City LGU led by Hon. Mayor Ronnie Dadivas for a benchmarking event aimed at sharing best practices. Bacolod has already hosted close to 40 LGUs for their benchmarking activities.

The event was opened by Mayor Albee Benitez, who emphasized the city’s dedication to progress.

Key presentations included the Bacolod City Comprehensive Health Program (BacCHP) by Engr. Mae Cuaycong, the presentation of MITCS that highlighted the Electronic Business Integrated System by Mary Jo Goetsch and the Yuhum Arao Pabahay Program by Rodel Parcon. These highlighted Bacolod’s achievements in healthcare, IT and housing.

Tourism initiatives were also showcased, with ms. Jescah Madayag presenting strategies that have boosted Bacolod’s local economy. The event concluded with an open forum, where the delegation from Roxas City engaged in a fruitful exchange of ideas with Bacolod’s key stakeholders.
