August 12, 2024 – In line with the celebration of the International Youth Day and the Linggo ng Kabataan, the Bacolod City Youth Development Office, together with the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) and the Sangguniang Kabaraan (SK) Federation hosted the Bacolod Youth Congress 2024 today at the SP Session Hall, Bacolod City Government Center.

Participated by Councilor Danna Marie Barzo and around 40 participants from different youth organizations.

The assembly covered numerous topics and activities such as the Presentation of the 2022 Bacolod Youth Agenda, Salient Points of the Youth Code, and a small group discussion.

Additionally, the event gave way for the attendees to draft the Bacolod Youth Code which is essential in implementing the SK Reform Act and activating the Bacolod Youth Development Council.

Here are the activities for the Linggo ng Kabataan which will run from August 12-30:

August 12 – Bacolod Youth Congress at the SP Session Hall

August 25 – Car-Free Sunday and Zumba at Lacson St.

August 26 – National Heroes Day Commemoration

August 27 – Larong Pinoy

August 28 – Barangay Level LnK

August 29 – Advocacy Fair at SM North Ground Floor

August 30 – Awarding Night at BCGC Lobby
