July 31, 2024- Bacolod City marked the 50th Nutrition Month Culmination Activity with the theme “Sa PPAN Sama-Sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat ng Bacolodnon.” Organized by the Urban Basic Services Division (UBSD) in collaboration with the Bacolod City Nutrition Committee held at the Bacolod City Government Center lobby.
The event opened with a warm welcome from City Administrator Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, followed by an inspirational message from Councilor Kalaw Puentevella, emphasizing the importance of community efforts in promoting health and nutrition. City Nutrition Program Coordinator Lora Clarin presented the activities held throughout Nutrition Month, showcasing initiatives aimed at encouraging healthy eating habits and raising nutritional awareness.

City Nutrition Action Officer Dr. Rosalie Deocampo concluded the event with a heartfelt closing message. The celebration was attended by barangay officials, Barangay Nutrition Scholars, Barangay Health Workers, the City Nutrition Committee, and other partners and sponsors, highlighting the community’s collective effort towards better nutrition for all Bacolodnons.
