June 19, 2024 – The Bureau of Fire Protection – Bacolod City shared their goals, objectives, fire prevention plans and programs, fire suppression programs, and timeline of activities with Mayor Albee Benitez today at the City Mayor’s Office, Bacolod City Government Center.
Together with Mayor Albee Benitez and City Administrator Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, were new BFP Chief Fsupt. Jenny Mae C. Masip, Operations Section Chief SFO1 Gelvin C. Mapa, Fire Safety Enforcement Section Chief SFO1 Francis James Bariento, Liaison FO2 Neil Marie Depalobos, Public Information Section Chief FO2 Paul E. Servano.
During the meeting, the BFP presented its plans and programs in fire prevention such as the conduct of fire safety lectures and exit drill in the home, posting of emergency numbers and fire safety tips, posting of dose (12) pahanumdum, and the road clearing operation.
Additionally, fire suppression plans and programs were also disclosed such as the provision of portable fire extinguisher, system tank, dry stand pipe, and smartphone in every fire sub-station.
Finally, the timeline of activities, together with the target dates/months are as follows:
Conduct of the safety lectures and exit drill in the home – Every Saturday and Sunday of the month (July-August)
Posting of emergency number and fire safety tips – September
Posting of dose (12) ka pahanumdum – September
Conduct of house-to-house inspection – July-September
Conduct of house mapping and hose layout marking – October
Road clearing operation – October
