The Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) released the payout for the Sustainable Livelihood Program on February 28, 2024 today at the BCGC Main Lobby. Beneficiaries for the said program are the displaced OFWs from Barangay Pahanocoy, Handumanan, Alijis,and Granada, the Women’s and fisherfolks sector from mixed barangays in the city.
Overall, there are a total of 392 beneficiaries with 194 from the OFWs selected after a thorough assessment done by the officers in the OFW organization where they belong in their respective barangays, 148 from the women’s sector, and 50 from the fisherfolks. Each beneficiary will receive an amount of Php 10,000. Present during the program are City Legal Office Head Atty. Romeo Carlos M. Ting Jr., Chairman on Budget and Finance and Councilor Thaddy Sayson, Councilor Simple Distrito, and Project Evaluation Officer II Atty. Joyce Ann May Solinap.
