February 26, 2024 – Mayor Albee Benitez led a meeting with the Local Price Coordinating Council to address rising pork costs in Bacolod City. The focus was on formulating a strategy to monitor and manage pork prices, emphasizing the city’s commitment to keeping food affordable for Bacolodnons. Attendees included Councilors Thadyy Sayson, Pao Sy, Em Ang, and Simple Distrito, City Administrator Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, Special Assistant to the Mayor Engr. Mae Cuaycong, Bacolod DA Maricar Quiro, City Vet Dr, May dela Torre, DTI representative Reginald Hudieres and reps from farmers group, Faith Farms Inc., Consumers Group Bacolod Taytung High School, Burgos BURVA, and BEU.
