On February 22, 2024, Bacolod DILG outlined the several agendas for the upcoming Basic Orientation Course for Newly Elected Barangay Officials as part of their BNEO Program. The event is scheduled to be held at Roy’s Hotel and Convention in Bacolod City.

The orientation will be conducted in four batches, with the first batch scheduled for February 26-28, the second batch on March 5-6, the third batch on March 12-13, and the final batch on March 19-20.

Barangay Newly Elected Officials of Bacolod City are required to attend the orientation. The Basic Orientation will cover various sessions on topics such as the BDP and Capdev Agenda, the Barangay Budget, Public Ethics and Accountability, and Social Media Management. Resource speakers from the CPDO, City Budget Office, Human Resource Management Services Office, and BCD PIO will lead the sessions.

Present during the meeting were Councilor Lady Gless Pallen, DILG Bacolod City OIC City Director Christian Nagaynay, LGOO III Greg Lopez, Jr., City Budget Officer Imelda Williams, CPDO Representative Ruth Arcolas, Bacolod PIO Head Carmela Gamboa and Alfred Lucot.
