February 16, 2024- Engr. Mae Cuaycong, Special Assistant to the Mayor, alongside Councilor Kalaw Puentevella SP Committee Chairman on Health, Dr. Eric Saratan Special Advisor for Health, and BacCHP Medical Director Dr. Edwin Miraflor Jr., led a meeting with Medical Schools addressing concerns like a shortage of Clinical Instructors, Scholarships, limited facilities for nursing students, and health issues. The discussion also encompassed planning for the conduct of a health summit to further address pertinent issues in the healthcare sector.

The meeting was attended by Riverside College Inc. – Nursing, University of St. La Salle – College of Nursing and College of Medicine, and University of Negros Occidental Recoletos – College of Allied Medical Health Sciences.

A series of meetings in the coming weeks will be called in preparation for the first ever Health Summit of Bacolod City.
