December 4, 2023 – In a historic event that resonates with the promise of progress, Hon. Mayor Albee Benitez spearheaded the groundbreaking ceremony for the BCGC legislative building earlier today.

Present during the ground-breaking event were City Councilors Thaddy Sayson, Em Ang, Pao Sy, Celia Flor, Al Espino, Simple Distrito, Kalaw Puentevella, and Jason Villarosa. Key representatives from the City Engineer’s Office (CEO) and other government departments added an air of collective commitment to the momentous occasion.

The 4-story building will house SP and Councilors offices; the SP session hall; some government offices like the Register of Deeds, the City Engineer’s Office, and others; a function hall; a roof deck with a conference room; and a Mayor’s Lounge.

The countdown to completion has officially begun, marking the commencement of an 18-month timeline from today’s groundbreaking.
