December 4, 2023 – The Bacolod City Officials headed by Mayor Albee Benitez and various departments of the Local Government Unit (LGU) gathered at the Bacolod City Government Center grounds today for a flag ceremony.

Alongside the ceremony was the signing of the City Officials to the wall of commitment part of the 18-day Campaign to end Violence Against Women.

Following the flag ceremony was the presentation of the City’s new purchased vehicles. GSO OIC head, Victor Espina reportad that the city has purchased 9 motorcycles & 7 pick-up trucks were issued to the BCPO, 2 Cherry Pickers & 2 Passenger Vans for City Engineers Office, 1 Passenger Van for the City Veterinarian Office, 1 Toyota Avanza each for UBSD & DSSD, 2 Pick-up Passenger Vehicles for BENRO and 4 Emergency Vehicles for DRRMO.

The Korean Fire Industry Association, a private organization in Korea dedicated to repurposing emergency vehicles, generously donated 1 Ambulance unit each in Bacolod City, Silay, EB Magalona, Cauayan, and San Enrique. The Korean ambulance is equipped with basic life saving equipments.

In addition, the Fire Brigade and DRRMO took the opportunity to conduct an interactive exhibition, showcasing the practical applications of how an emergency air cushion is utilized, providing insights for both officials and the public.
