The City Government of Bacolod through its City Nutrition Committee has been conferred and awarded the Green Banner Seal of Compliance for 2022 for its City’s Nutrition Program during the 2023 Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony (RNAC) held in Iloilo City on November 28, 2023.

RNAC is an annual event held by the National Nutrition Council Regional Office VI to recognize the exemplary efforts in implementing the nutrition programs of the LGUs and Local Nutrition Focal Points across Western Visayas through MELLPI Pro.

Assistant Secretary and Executive Director IV Dr. Azucena M. Dayanghirang, MCH, CESO III of the National Nutrition Council served as Keynote Speaker where she emphasized the role together we play as respective nutrition committee members and are the key to a successful nutrition program management.

Bacolod City Nutrition Committee, Members who received the 2022 Green Banner Seal of Compliance Award were CNAO Dr. Rosalie Deocampo, CNPC Lora Clarin, Nutritionist Dietitians Myrrah Lei Unson and Beverly Gatchalian. Our esteemed recognition and thanks to all the members of our City Nutrition Committee chaired by Mayor Albee Benitez and co-chaired by Coun. Kalaw Puentevella.

Barangay Sum-ag Nutrition Committee ably represented by Kag. Manuel Carmona and City Outstanding BNS Ma. Christine Eder, was also recognized during the Ceremony.
