March 4, 2025- With the support of Mayor Albee Benitez, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in collaboration with the Bacolod City Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD), conducted the distribution of the Seed Capital Fund to 500 beneficiaries as part of their Sustainable Livelihood Program at the Villamonte Covered Court today.

Each beneficiary, coming from various barangays, received ₱10,000 from the DSWD. This financial grant aims to help small business owners start or expand their businesses, fostering economic growth and sustainability within the community.

Present during the distribution were Congressman Greg Gasataya, Councilors Kalaw Puentevella, Jason Villarosa, Vladi Gonzalez, Celia Flor, Thaddy Sayson, and Sectoral Affairs Office Head Carmeli Zayco.
