BACOLOD CITY, as conferred by the National Nutrition Council (NNC) for three (3) consecutive years, is proudly awarded the Green Banner Seal of Compliance during the 2024 Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony (RNAC) on November 21, 2024 held at the Smallville 21 Hotel.

With collective efforts of various Bacolod City Member Departments, Bacolod City garnered above 85% score during the 2024 MELLPI Pro (Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol) conducted last June 2024.

Likewise, Lora Maria Teresa E. Clarin, Bacolod City’s City Nutrition Program Coordinator, was conferred and awarded as the Regional Outstanding City Nutrition Program Coordinator. Significantly, she has advanced to the Nationals as among the Top 5 National Contenders to vie as the National Outstanding City Nutrition Program Coordinator. And BNS Felisa Batisla-ong, was recognized as the City Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar in Bacolod City.

This yearly ceremony gives honor to the accomplishments and esteemed efforts of Local Government Units (LGUs), Local Nutrition Focal Points, and stakeholders in advancing nutrition programs.

RNAC was graced by Assistant Secretary, Executive Director Dr. Azucena M. Dayanghirang, DILG Assistant Director Ms. Maria Calpiza J. Sardua, and Dr. Maria Socorro Quiñon, representing Gov. Arthur Defensor.

The Bacolod City delegation was spearheaded by Coun. Celia Matea R. Flor, with her girl councilor, CNAO Dr. Rosalie G. Deocampo, CNAO Lora E. Clarin, BNS Coordinator/ UBSD Officer Coleen R. Mendoza, Bacolod COBNS Felisa Batisla-ong and Barangay 32 Secretary Licel Sedurifa.
