October 2, 2024 – The Philippine Association of Local Government Accountants (PhALGA) 17th Visayas Geographical Conference officially started today at the SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City and the Acacia Hotel, simultaneously.

Numerous public officials joined the event, including City Tourism Head Teresa Manalili, LEDIPO Head Dr. Mae Llamas, Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio “Bong” Lacson, BCPO Director Joeresty Coronica, together with 8,000 delegates coming from all over the Visayas region.

The event provided an avenue for imparting knowledge concerning the financial and accounting sectors, budget management, and emphasizing the important role that local government accountants play in managing public funds.

The event will continue until October 4, 2024.
