Bacolod City officials and organizers conducted an inter-agency coordination meeting earlier today, May 18, to finalize preparations for the Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival on May 26 to 28.
SP Committee Chair on Markets and Slaughterhouse Councilor Celia Flor, SP Committee Chair on Tourism Councilor Jason Villarosa and festival director Ryan Saez presided the meeting along with representatives from City Tourism Office, Department of Public Services (DPS), Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO), Public Order and Safety Office (POSO), Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), Sectoral Office, Public Information Office (PIO), and PrimeWater.
Councilor Flor expressed her optimism on the upcoming festival that pioneers the pride of Bacolod City, the chicken inasal. The City aims for a successful and safe celebration with the proactive involvement of said government agencies.
Festival sites are North Capitol Road, Megaworld UpperEast, and Manokan Country. Thus, road closures will possibly be implemented starting May 24 in preparation for the three-day festivities.
