
In line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to equip every province, city. and municipality with Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) under the Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program (MTVDP), and to ensure equitable access to emergency medical care nationwide, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) will hold a turnover ceremony of Patient Transport Vehicles in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, on 25 November 2025. This event marks another milestone in PCSO’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s healthcare delivery system The PTVs embody the government’s commitment to make quality health services accessible to all Filipinos, especially those in far-flung and underserved communities. Each unit is equipped with a stretcher, oxygen tank, wheelchair, first-aid kit, blood pressure monitor, and medicine cabinet, ensuring the safe and timely transport of patients to hospitals and emergency facilities, PCSO turned over 680 PTVs nationwide when President Marcos Jr. took office in 2022. In 2025, the agency accelerated its efforts through the MTVDP, marking a breakthrough year with record-setting turnovers: July 9, 2025 – PCSO conducted the largest single-day turnover of 387 PTVs nationwide raising the running total to 1,067 units, or 64% of the 1,642 LGUs August 1, 2025 – An additional 106 PTVs were distributed to LGUs in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Isabela City, and Lanao del Sur, bringing the cumulative total to 1,173 units. August 18, 2025 – Another 124 units were turned over to Eastern Visayas, lifting the total to 1,297 units. October 5, 2025 – PCSO launched its Bayanihan Aid Caravan, deploying 11 PTVs to Cebu and 1 to Masbate for disaster response, while Cabanatuan City and Tabaco City each received one unit. These efforts pushed the nationwide count to 1,309 units October 24, 2025 – 158 PTVs were distributed in Kidapawan City and 71 units in Butuan City Today -82 PTVs will be distributed in Bacolod City, bringing the total to 1,620 units, or 98% coverage of LGUs nationwide Of the 82 units, 45 PTVs are allocated to Region VI, with Aklan receiving 7, Antique receiving 8, Capiz receiving 9, Iloilo receiving 20, and Guimaras receiving 1. Meanwhile, 37 PTVs are designated for the Negros Island Region, including 22 units for Negros Oriental, 11 for Negros Occidental, and 4 for Siquijor. This distribution demonstrates PCSO’s continued commitment to ensuring that every community across Western Visayas and the Negros Island Region has improved access to timely and reliable medical transport services Through these milestones, PCSO reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that every community. from the busiest cities to the most remote towns, has access to reliable and lifesaving medical transport.
