November 14, 2023 – With Mayor Albee Benitez’s dedicated and willing participation, the Department of Tourism – Region VI and Bacolod City Tourism Office gathered in a meeting to introduce and prepare for the launch of the Philippine Experience Program (PEP) today at the City Mayor’s Office, Bacolod City Government Center.
Together with Councilor Jason Villarosa, DOT representative John Mark Ciocon, Bacolod City Tourism Officer Tere Manalili, Bacolod Consultant on Tourism Tin Mansinares were City Budget Officer Imelda Williams, BCPO CD PCol. Noel Aliño, BTAO Head Patrick Lacson, CCLDO representative Jeanette Desiderio, DRRMO Head Dr. Anna Pornan, BCPO Pltcol. Noel Polines, Department of Public Services Officer-In-Charge Ma. Fe Trespuentes.
The PEP campaign is an initiative by the Department of Tourism under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and was designed to promote the cultural heritage and gastronomic offerings of the various regions found in the Philippines.
Moreover, the PEP initiative has four themes which are the Hain/Salo-salo, Kalinaw, Pamana, and Likha and will officially begin in Region VI with the arrival of DOT Secretary Christina Frasco on November 29, 2023.
