More than P1-M Collection Expected from unsettled
Manokan Stall Rental Accounts

    City Administrator Lorendo Dilag held a dialogue last October 5 with 10 stall holders of the Manokan Country relative to their unsettled rental accounts, amounting to more than P1million, with the City.
     Together with Executive Assistants Nonoy Jamelo and Cesar Villa, Atty. Dilag presented the City’s proposal to allow these stall holders, whose individual arrears as of June this year exceeded P100 thousand, to pay the 10% down payment this month, and settle the remaining balance on a 24-month basis starting January 2005.
     Dilag added that holders who fail to pay rent for two months starting next year will have to face forfeiture of their privileges and eventual eviction from the Manokan Country.
     The stall holders were pleased with the proposal, and assured their compliance with the conditions laid out to them.
     Other concerns were also brought to the attention of the City officials. These include the flushing of the drainage system at Manokan Country, and the clearing of the cogonal area near their respective stalls.*(CMO-PIO/jmi)
