Message of the City Mayor

The economic condition of the city is dependent on the peace and order situation more than any other factor. Ignorance, literacy, low morale mostly stem from poverty.

Aware of the maxim: “ an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure,” we opted to adopt measure like livelihood development and a more efficient Bacolod City Police Office for the prevention of crime in this city.

Friends of Bacolod – NGOs, private contractors and big entrepreneurs have informed City Hall of their requirements for employees for their businesses here and abroad.

With income generation, we hope to uplift the morale of the constituents. A happy and upright citizenry is less inclined to criminality. This is coupled with a police force with greater visibility and support from the local government will undoubtedly command respect from would-be lawless elements.

With the strengthened City Peace and Order Council – more cooperation between the government and private sector – we foresee a bigger step towards progress in the community.
