     Colorful lanterns, kiosks and rolling carts of food, souvenirs, arts and crafts will line up 6th Street. An open-air dining tent will be set-up for the public to enjoy the Chinese and Filipino food offered at the alley. Visitors and family will be in their costumes and color coded attires for the big street party.

     A parade of lanterns, illuminated floats, dragons and lions capturing the spectacles of Chinese culture participated by 34-member Tsinoy organizations and several corporations.

     A synchronized lighting up of animal installations and the city-wide fireworks display while Mayor Bing Leonardia and Bacolaodiat Chairman, William Ong declares the official opening of the Chinese New Year Festival.

Three major Chinese temples will be highlighted as tour destinations. Each temple visit is an event in itself showcasing various Chinese Lifestyle and traditions.

An exhibition of culinary skills among restaurants and culinary schools showcasing innovative ways of cooking old time Chinese favorites. Free food tasting will be enjoyed by our guests and audience.
 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm  Lantern and Street Dancing Competition
    
A competition among various towns, municipalities and nearby provinces in a lantern and street dancing. The participating teams will compete in terms of lantern design and choreography with adherence to the theme of "Strength in Unity" reflecting the merging of two cultures.

A grand launching event with a MANILA Band for Chowkings newest product.

A farewell ceremony to bid the year of the pig goodbye and welcome the year of the  RAT. The program will include awarding of the plaques and prizes to the winners and their final performances. Various associations and schools will render their finest number to entertain us until the final countdown to our grandest finale of fireworks display.
